Description
Centrifugal Casting Sink Roll
The sink roll is a critical component of Continuous Galvanizing Lines (CGL). Working in conjunction with stabilizer and backup rolls, it ensures the precise movement and stabilization of steel strips within the zinc pot. Typically manufactured from high-grade 316L or 317L stainless steel, these rolls are designed to operate reliably in extreme environments with temperatures ranging from 800°C to 1200°C.
During production, the sink roll is fully immersed in molten zinc. Its interaction with the stabilizer roll helps guide the molten liquid across the plate surface, directly influencing the final coating quality and the overall production efficiency of the galvanizing line. Our sink rolls are engineered for high-temperature durability and corrosion resistance to meet the most demanding metallurgical standards.

Process & Operational Performance
Advanced Centrifugal Casting: Our barrels are produced using high-speed centrifugal casting, ensuring uniform wall thickness, high material density, and a metallurgically sound structure with minimal defects. This process allows for precise customization of material properties tailored to specific heat and corrosion resistance needs.
Durability in Molten Environments: Operating in continuous annealing (CAL) and galvanizing (CGL) lines, these rolls must withstand constant exposure to molten metals and abrasive chemicals. Our optimized alloy selection and surface finishing (including grinding and specialized grooves) ensure stable operation and minimize surface defects on the steel strip.
Reliability & Maintenance: Designed for an extended service life, our sink rolls feature high mechanical strength and thermal stability, reducing the frequency of maintenance shutdowns and optimizing the total cost of ownership for steel manufacturers.
